An Introduction to Jersey (Java)

Jersey provides an API to all the Java developers that may extend Jersey to their needs. Jersey is the open source JAX-RS (JSR 311) Reference Implementation for building RESTful Web services. But, it is also more than the Reference Implementation. Jersey is currently available as an early access implementation. Jersey cannot go to version 1.0 until JAX-RS reaches the final release and is an approved JSR.

Jersey makes it easy to build RESTful Web services utilising Java and the Java Virtual Machine. The Java programmers can develop a production quality Reference Implementation.
