Research In Motion (RIM)’s smartphone sales might be suffering in face of competition from Apple and Android, but it has always been the leader in enterprise mobility solutions. The latest market move from RIM seems to secure the existing market. Blackberry Mobile Fusion, an enterprise mobility solution that marks its entry into the mobile-platform mobile-device management space.
Blackberry Mobile Fusion plays on RIM’s strength: enterprise security. The Company is using what it has learned over the past decade to manage smartphones and tablets running not only on Blackberry devices, but also on Google Android and Apple iOS operating systems. RIM’s aim seems to win the business of companies and government agencies looking to manage the various mobile device workers too.
